Our Holiday Club Sessions

More than a fee — an investment in childhood

While we understand affordability matters to families, being the lowest price is not what creates the best experiences for children. At Smiles, we focus on value and the quality of the time children spend with us.

During the school holidays, that means creating days that are active, engaging and filled with opportunities for children to explore, create and build friendships, with a wide variety of activities so every child can choose what they enjoy most.

We continually invest in what makes those experiences special:

Ongoing investment in our staff

A huge variety of activities

Higher staffing and lower ratios

Quality spaces and equipment

Because that is what value really looks like. Children who are excited to come to our club and never dread it. Parents telling us, “Our child is more than happy to come. Just keep doing what you’re doing! Other providers have a lot to learn from you.” And that is exactly why Rachel co-founded Smiles.

“We have to change the narrative about the cost of childcare…

What we need to start talking about is the value of childcare.”

“When we're talking about value, we have to think about impact…

We need to talk about the experiences for children.”

“How important is it to a parent that they can feel confident, happy that their children are being looked after and having access to magical play experiences within your setting.”

“The removal of parental guilt… and the safety and rich play experiences we offer children… that to me, and to lots of parents, is priceless.”

Supporting families with the cost of childcare

We know childcare is a significant investment for families. There are a number of support options available to help manage costs — and we’re here to help you access them.

Tax-Free Childcare — save up to 20%

We accept Tax-Free Childcare payments. This government scheme is designed to support working families with childcare costs. For every £8 you pay into your childcare account, the government adds £2 — giving you up to 20% extra towards your fees. To be eligible, parents must be working (including self-employed), earning at least the equivalent of 16 hours per week at National Minimum Wage, and earning under £100,000 per year. You can check your eligibility here: www.beststartinlife.gov.uk/eligibility-checker

Childcare vouchers

We accept a wide range of childcare voucher providers, offering flexibility for families who use an employer childcare voucher scheme. If we are not currently registered with your provider, please let us know. We are happy to register with additional schemes wherever possible to make the process simple for you.
